Bordeaux Leather Key Fob & Bag Charm, Brass Ring, Custom Initial
One long strap of bordeaux Buttero leather, folded over and held shut with a solid brass snap. A leather keeper in the middle carries the brass split ring, so it hangs off a bag handle as a charm just as easily as it holds keys. Undo the snap and the strap opens flat, which is how you add a key or loop it onto a ring.
Details
- Leather: bordeaux Buttero veg-tanned cowhide (Conceria Walpier, Italy), roughly 2 mm thick, with a soft natural sheen rather than a coated shine. Edges are rounded and burnished, the back is left raw.
- Hardware: solid brass throughout. A split ring about 1 in / 2.5 to 3 cm across, one snap closure (plain domed cap on the front face, rosette-patterned ring on the back), and a small brass rivet holding the keeper.
- Size, approx. These are estimates read off the photos, not measured stock. Opened flat the strap runs about 6 in / 15 to 16 cm long and 1.2 in / 3 cm wide. Folded and snapped it sits about 2.75 in / 7 cm, or about 3.9 in / 10 cm including the ring. Around 1.6 oz / 45 g.
- Colour: deep bordeaux. Under warm light it reads brown-plum, and the raw back is a more purple oxblood. Veg-tanned leather darkens as it gets handled.
- Personalisation: a short line of your own can be blind-debossed into the front, pressed with heat and no ink, and a small brass initial set on the back. The fob photographed carries an earlier customer's own words and their initial S.
Cut, folded, edged and set by hand in our workshop in Vietnam, mostly made to order, so the grain and the deboss fall a little differently on every one.
